Diddy’s team addresses this bombshell rumor about Jamie Foxx’s mysterious health scare

Was tea really spilled during a stand-up comedy show? Or was it all just for laughs and giggles?

Diddy’s team appears to be working overtime to dispel rumors suggesting that Sean “Diddy” Combs had something to do with Jamie Foxx’s hospitalization.

On Friday, TMZ reported on the filming of the Hollywood actor’s highly anticipated comedy special in Atlanta, “What Had Happened Was,” and what to expect.

But sources close to the event said Foxx told one joke accusing him of linking his terrifying hospitalization to the disgraced music mogul.

While many automatically believe that Foxx was living his truth through the joke, sources have told TMZ that what he said was just that: a joke.

Page Six also previously reported on Foxx’s stand-up special, which also received two different reactions to the Diddy joke.

One source claimed he wasn’t just joking and “exposed” the jailed music star, while the other said it was just a joke, with the comedian adding, “If (Diddy) was responsible, I’d be dead.”

Now the claims have caught the attention of Combs’ team.

According to All HipHop, Diddy’s team responded by sending an email that undermined the idea that Diddy was behind Foxx’s recent health scare. His team called the allegations “bizarre, ridiculous and baseless.”

Rumors started swirling after videographer/producer Choke No Joke did an interview with Comedy Hype earlier this month, claiming that there was a rumor in the industry that Diddy was accused of being behind Foxx’s hospitalization. He claimed that he attended some of the tapings for the special, and in it Foxx said that Combs was responsible for what happened to him and that he was the one who called the FBI about Diddy.

In the interview, he emphasized that what he heard came directly from Foxx.

Meanwhile, the Hollywood actor was asked directly about the claims in a video on

He simply replied, “God bless you.”
