Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, arrested last week on a litany of federal charges, is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, as he awaits trial after the judge overseeing his case denied bail.

Another infamous 2024 criminal at the Brooklyn Detention Center? Crypto fraudster and disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Friedwho was sentenced to 25 years in prison and ordered to forfeit $11 billion after he was convicted on charges of fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering back in March.

According to reports, Diddy — facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution — has been sharing a barrack-style living space that houses around 20 inmates with Bankman-Fried, who was charged in November 2023 and convicted in March 2024.

“The sources describe the unit as a barrack-style area currently housing about 18-20 inmates. These inmates range from high-profile defendants, like Combs, to cooperators — inmates who may require special protection. The area is separate from the overall general population unit, but is common/shared living space, sources tell NBC New York.”

If convicted, Combs — who federal authorities allege engaged in decades of “physical, verbal, emotional, and sexual abuse” — faces a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison. Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

“For decades, Sean Combs, the defendant, abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct,” The federal indictment says of Combs’ alleged criminal empire.

“To do so, Combs relied on the employees, resources, and influence of the multifaceted business empire that he led and controlled, creating a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.”

The headline-grabbing portion of Diddy’s indictment details alleged “elaborate and produced sex performances” called “Freak Offs” that he would organize. When raiding his home, authorities reportedly found “thousands” of bottles of baby oil, narcotics, and three AR-15 rifles.
