Diddy is seeking bail in a sex trafficking case as prosecutors claim he is a danger to the community

Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared in a Manhattan courtroom Friday to apply for bail as he awaits trial on federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

The 55-year-old music mogul, dressed in a khaki prison outfit, greeted family members, including his 17-year-old twin daughters, Jesse and D’Lila Combs, who attended the hearing in support.

Diddy’s legal team has asked Judge Arun Subramanian to release him on a $50 million bond. This is his fourth attempt at bail after previous denials, citing concerns that Combs poses an “extreme danger to the community” and may have tampered with witnesses. Prosecutors allege Combs ran Bad Boy Records as a criminal enterprise for more than a decade, using his power to abuse women and intimidate witnesses.

The indictment details claims of coerced, drug-fueled sexual encounters during what Combs allegedly called “Freak Offs.” Evidence collected during raids on his homes in Los Angeles and Miami reportedly included narcotics and more than 1,000 bottles of lube. Combs has pleaded not guilty, with his attorneys claiming the sexual encounters were consensual.

Judge Subramanian is expected to rule on Combs’ bail request after the hearing. The trial is scheduled for May 2025.
