Devil May Cry anime coming in 2025, and everything else on Netflix Geek Week

The Netflix anime Devil May Cry now has an official release date and a new trailer.

Devil May Cry was announced as part of Netflix’s Geeked Week and will be released on the subscription platform in April 2025.

The new trailer shows off Dante’s iconic red coat and white hair look, dual pistols and swordplay as he hunts demons, rides a motorcycle and, of course, eats pizza. “Let’s dance,” he jokes.

Devil May Cry isn’t the only gaming-related Netflix series coming your way.

Arcane, the animated series based on League of Legends, has now announced release dates for its second season, which will launch in three parts.

The first arrives on November 9th, followed by a second on November 16th and the third on November 23rd. That’s a week apart on Saturday.

Netflix recently released a new trailer that gave a sneak peek at the story of the second season.

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch has received its first teaser trailer. At just 45 seconds long, it doesn’t show much, but this will be an animated adaptation of Ubisoft’s stealth series. Sam Fisher is played by Liev Schreiber, who has starred in films ranging from Scream to X-Men Origins: Wolverine and more.

There’s another new trailer for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, out October 10th. It hints at her troubled past and features plenty of action and actual tomb raiding.

Netflix confirmed that a new Cyberpunk animated project is in the works, again in collaboration with CD Projekt Red. It is unknown if this is a continuation of Edgerunners.

Speaking of gaming news, Monument Valley 3 is coming exclusively to Netflix Games on December 10th.

On February 11, 2025, a new Witcher animated film will be released, starring Doug Cockle as the voice of Geralt. We reported this earlier this week.

Finally, Castlevania: Nocturne season two will be released in January 2025.

Elsewhere on Netflix, a new trailer has dropped for Squid Game season two, an animated series based on Magic the Gathering that’s in production, and the cast for Black Mirror season seven has been announced.
