Destiny 2 Insurmountable Sidearm – God Rolls and How to Get Them

Episode 2: Revenge by Lot 2 has introduced a slew of vampire-killing weapons. While I’m not a fan of handguns in general, Insurmountable has caught my attention. Here’s where to find it and what to chase.

How to become insurmountable in Destiny 2

Insurmountable, just like all the others Revenge weapons, can be obtained by participating in seasonal events. At the time of writing this article, these are the two Onslaught modes found in The Last City. Additionally, it can be found through Eido rank-up rewards. To maximize this, I recommend equipping four pieces of seasonal gear, as they provide a replay bonus.

Destiny 2 Insurmountable God Rolls

PvE Godroll

If, like me, you’re a fan of staring into space, Insurmountable might just be the weapon to change your perception of handguns. This Revenge side arm goes to work while Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds work together in perfect harmony. As your enemies are defeated, final blows give you an overshield, allowing you to turn minions into resources.

• Hammer forged rifle: Increases range by +10.

Flared Magwell: Increases reload speed by +15 and stability by +5.

Repulsor bracket: Defeating a Void debuffed target grants an overshield of 45 HP.

Destabilizing rounds: The final blows cause nearby targets to become volatile.

Masterpiece range: Increases range by +10.

PvP Godroll

As for PvP, I’m not too fond of Insurmountable. It can work well in tight spaces, but there are no features that make it stand out. That’s why we want to get one that works more as an all-rounder. Increased range and an improvement in other stats will at least make him competent.

• Hammer forged rifle: Increases range by +10.

Accurate rounds: Increases range by +10.

To the pain: When this weapon is equipped, taking damage increases handling and aim assist until the weapon is put away.

Desperate measures: Weapon final hits grant bonus damage. Melee and grenade finishing hits provide a larger damage bonus that can be stacked.

Masterpiece range: Increases range by +10.
