Despite the loss, Si Woo Kim mirrors Steph Curry’s epic celebration

Si Woo Kim is a national treasure and absolute dynamite in the international team. His energy this week during the Presidents Cup is iconic.

During the foursome session on Saturday afternoon, he holed out on the 17th to extend the match against Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele. However, they still lost the match as the Americans won at 1UP when Cantlay sank a 16-footer for birdie on 18.

After the ball entered the hole, Kim performed the sleeping action with his hands, mimicking what Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry did at the 2024 Olympics in Paris last summer.

“That’s what we needed. I didn’t expect the ball to go in, but I was so excited,” Kim said after the game. “My favorite NBA player is Steph Curry, so that’s what I did. It didn’t end well, but yeah, I was excited.

He is one of the most iconic members of the international team. Kim’s competitive nature makes him so fun to watch.

This celebration immediately caught the attention of golf fans and their response was fantastic.

Fans loved that he pulled out the sleeper because Kim is one of the few players who can do that and succeed.

Kim was one of the most entertaining parts of this year’s Cup, so Christopher Powers is on to something. His Curry impression only added to his knowledge.

Kim even picked up a new fan after his incredible hole-out. Moments like this keep people coming back for more.

He is a unique golf character and it is great to see him show off his personality.

Kim’s hole-out celebration could go down as one of the best moments of the 2024 Presidents Cup, regardless of whether the international team finds a way to come back or lose.
