Dems have gone soft on Trump’s fascism claims

Have Democrats changed their minds about Donald Trump since he emerged victorious on Election Day? Political commentator Charlamagne Tha God seems to think so.

In the Friday episode of The Breakfast Club On the radio show, which he co-hosts, Charlamagne said he found it “strange” that Democrats have apparently stopped reporting on Trump as a “fascist.”

“They don’t call him a threat to democracy, they don’t call him a fascist,” he told his co-hosts. “It just makes you wonder how much of it they actually believed?”

A guest interjected and said Democrats “cannot” use that rhetoric against Trump now: “He is the most powerful man in the world.” But Charlemagne was still not convinced.

“On Monday they just called him that, and I think if you really believed that, someone’s speech would be about how America has fared and how things are going to get really bad,” he said. “It just makes you wonder how much of it did they actually believe? And how much was just political.”

Charlamagne’s comments angered some commentators online who called him yet another “flip-flopping media puppet.” Daily mail.

Among them were far-right troll and failed candidate for Missouri Secretary of State Valentina Gomez.

“Charlamagne, like the others, exposed herself as a paid propagandist and a liar,” she wrote.
