Deer leads to chain reaction crash involving multiple vehicles on Route 33, police say

A deer attempting to cross Route 33 led to a chain reaction collision involving multiple vehicles along Route 33 in Bushkill Township Tuesday morning, state police said.

Nathan Branosky, public information officer for the Pennsylvania State Police Troop M Barracks, told lehighvalleylive.com that the crash started around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday along the southbound lanes of the highway at mile marker 12.

Branosky said a preliminary report showed one of the vehicles collided with the deer, causing the other cars to crash into each other. Occupants of the vehicles reported minor injuries, he said.
