David Bell sacked by Reds after 6 seasons as manager; Freddie Benavides appointed interim | News, scores, highlights, stats and rumours

The Cincinnati Reds announced on Sunday that they have fired manager David Bell.

According to Lance McAlister of 700WLW, the Reds have named Freddie Benavides as interim coach for the final five games of the season.

Cincinnati is 76-81 this year and will miss the postseason for the fourth straight season. The Reds have made the playoffs just once during Bell’s six-year tenure.
