Davi Tenorio happy with Lube

The Brazilian middle blocker Davi Tenorio, born in 2005 announced yesterday by Cucine Lube Civitanova, presents himself with his first interview as a red and white.

General manager Beppe Cormio praised your natural talents. How did you get into volleyball?
Davi Tenorio: “I was helped by my height, passion for sport and the intuition of my father, a volleyball coach, who involved me in a U12 tournament. I lived in Andorra and at the time I played basketball, but at the youth volleyball finals the spark went off and I moved from the basket to jumping to the net!”.

In these years as a volleyball player have you thought about a goal to reach? “
“At the moment my dream is to win a Scudetto with Lube”.

What features will you put at the service of Lube and what do you want to grow in right away?
“I have a flair for getting to the point. No matter what, I want to be useful to the team. Certainly with a great club like Lube I can grow a lot in blocking and in managing the most complicated balls.”

In recent years you have done internships at Lube in the summer months, what struck you about the environment?
“The daily climate of enthusiasm and determination in every training session!”

Do you have any idols in the world of volleyball?
“The first step of the podium was occupied by my father, while since I was a child I have been fascinated by the former red and white captain Osmany Juantorena!”

Juantorena arrived as an experienced player, now Lube is focusing heavily on young players.
“Giving more space to emerging people is a smart bet for the movement. It must also be said that the number of matches increases every year and being able to count on a young team, at least on paper, favors athletic recovery and, consequently, even with less experience, a team can provide better athletic performances throughout the season . I feel that the dedication and value of the staff will help us develop our capabilities and strive for important goals in the near future!”

What’s in your life besides volleyball?
“Eheheh, right now in my life there is only volleyball!”

You are very young, you will certainly have some hobbies…
“Like many peers I like playing the guitar, listening to music, watching films and a bit of TV”.

Does your family have volleyball in their blood?
“My parents played volleyball, my father played professionally, my mother stopped to focus on her studies. I have a 7 year old brother and he still has time to fall in love with volleyball, but I want him to immediately become a Lube fan!”.
