‘Damon Wayans Jr.’ Extends CBS Studios Deal, Places ‘Ten House’ at CBS

EXCLUSIVE: CBS looks to expand its firefighting drama presence beyond the California region Tierra del Fuego with the New York set Ten HouseThe Firehouse project, now in development, comes from Two Shakes Entertainment, the production company co-founded by Damon Wayans Jr. with Kameron Tarlow, and CBS Studios, where the company has been based since launching in 2018 and recently extended its first-look deal through May 2026.

Written by Pilar Golden, creator/executive producer of the upcoming Amazon Freevee series Beyond Black Beauty, Ten Houses Set in the iconic FDNY Ten House, it follows two rookies as they grapple with their legacy as children of 9/11 first responders, while navigating emerging feelings for each other, the highly trained yet formidable veterans of the firehouse, and the demands of emergency response in the ever-changing yet always challenging city of New York.

Golden serves as executive producer, along with Wayans Jr. and Tarlow of Two Shakes.

This is Golden’s second sale this development season, alongside the drama series Keats (working title) She writes for NBC, where she serves as executive producer with Angela Bassett, Courtney B. Vance and Lynnette Ramirez of Bassett Vance Productions through Universal TV.

Golden’s series writing credits include the CBS/CBS Studios drama Hawaii Five-0 as well as Max’s Gossip girl reboot, CBS’ God has befriended me and Crackle’s The oathShe is represented by IAG and Sundust Management.

Two Shakes Entertainment is in production on CBS’s new fall comedy Daddy’s housestarring Wayans Jr. and his father Damon Wayans, and is about to begin filming Season 2 of the CBS game show Loot the cage. The company previously produced for CBS Studios Glamorous on Netflix starring Kim Cattrall and Miss Benny.
