It was a good day for Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys.

The Pro Bowl quarterback started the day by signing a four-year, $240 million contract extension, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. After the memorable signing, he and the Cowboys settled things down in convincing fashion.

Dallas won 33-17 and completely controlled the game. The defense limited the Browns to just 230 total yards, sacked quarterback Deshaun Watson six times and forced two turnovers.

Kicker Brandon Aubrey had a great day, kicking four field goals, the longest of which was from 57 yards. He also made a shot from 66 yards, but a penalty nullified the score.

The offense produced a solid 265 yards and was 1-of-1 in the red zone. Prescott moved the offense, going 19-of-32 for 179 yards and a touchdown while also adding a three-yard rush.

Fans praised Prescott and the Cowboys, seeing the team as a contender.

Dak is just a joy to watch, man. Understanding on another level.
And we don’t know if it’s going to make the playoffs until we get there, so I’m just going to sit back and watch the fun QB do his thing.

Dallas is completely used to the hype surrounding the new season.

Last season, Dallas started 3-0 and sailed to a 12-5 record to secure an NFC East title. Prescott had one of his best seasons, throwing for 4,516 yards with 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

This did not lead to playoff success, as Dallas lost in the Wild Card Round to the Green Bay Packers. With the new deal, expectations have only increased.

Dallas will hope to build on its positive momentum in Week 2 when the team hosts the New Orleans Saints.
