Crystal Palace transfer news: Maxence Lacroix joins from Wolfsburg for £18m

Lacroix came through the youth ranks at Sochaux and made 28 appearances for the French club before moving to Wolfsburg.

He was part of the Wolfsburg team that qualified for the Champions League under Glasner, playing in all six group stage games in 2021.

On the way, Lacroix said: “It’s like a dream for a young footballer. I’m very happy to be here and to join this good team.

“I watched the last few games of Palace and I was very happy for the manager, because I played under him before. I think this is the right time to go to the Premier League.”

Palace chairman Steve Parish said: “We have watched Maxence play at the highest level of European football and we are delighted to welcome him to Selhurst Park.

“He is another young, talented player that we can add to the club and I am sure he will be a valuable addition to Oliver and the squad.”
