Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott says he is no longer listening to team owner Jerry Jones’ comments to the media during his ongoing contract negotiations.

“I honestly stopped listening to what (Jerry Jones) says to the media a long time ago. It doesn’t really affect me,” Prescott said, according to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News.

Prescott started laughing, as did the media listening, Watkins said.

Prescott’s comment comes a day after Jones responded to a reporter’s question about what else he wanted to see before extending Prescott’s contract.

“It’s easy to say, if you haven’t seen it, you haven’t seen it,” Jones responded, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.

According to Spotrac, Prescott will start Week 1 with a $29 million salary in the final year of his contract.
