We have a question from Gary:

“The following players are listed on the Lancashire County Cricket Club website but are not in the XI for a crucial match today: James Anderson; Jos Buttler; Saqib Mahmood; Liam Livingstone; Steven Croft; Luke Wood; Phil Salt; Will Williams. Preamble

Hello and welcome to this county cricket live blog. Mine First county cricket live blog, might I add, so take it easy on me. The sun is shining here in London and conditions are similar across the country, making for a great day of cricket.

All 18 teams are in action but my eyes will be on Nottinghamshire v Surrey and Somerset v Durham. Surrey look set to pull away again but Somerset will want to keep the pressure on.

I’ll also give you updates on the big moments from the other fields. Feel free to email me with your thoughts on your team’s prospects and where you’re watching the game today.
