Conor McGregor ‘ruined his legacy’ with recent missteps outside Octagon, claims Jake Paul – FirstSportz

Conor McGregor was supposed to make his long-awaited comeback at UFC 303, but due to an injury, the ‘Notorious’ had to withdraw his name. This led to a new story where fans questioned McGregor’s dedication to his MMA craft. In the midst of all this, YouTuber turned boxer, Jake Paul shared his reservations about McGregor.

It’s safe to say that Jake Paul is not a fan of Conor McGregor and has called out the Irishman several times. However, in a recent interview on the MMA hour showPaul spoke about McGregor’s antics outside the octagon and how it is destroying his legacy. According to Paul, McGregor is a drug addict and has gone crazy.

He's embarrassing himself. He's ruining his legacy with all the drugs and the way he looks online. He's lost his mind, he's a maniac and like, I feel bad for the guy now. And so, you could say all these things about him but he hasn't proven it, he hasn't backed anything up.

It all started when the UFC 303 press conference in Dublin was canceled. Later, Conor McGregor made an official announcement about his injury. However, it seems that Paul does not believe this at all. Paul is currently targeting his upcoming boxing match with ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry who stepped in to replace Mike Tyson.

While there is no official report, Paul’s claims about McGregor’s drug abuse could be a possible case. Recently, UFC legend, Chael Sonnen went viral for his rant about McGregor on the Good Guy Bad Guy show. Sonnen revealed that McGregor is not injured and is currently in rehab for substance abuse. Surprisingly, however, the now retired fighter has now changed his claims.

Afterwards, Chael Sonnen released another video on his YouTube channel claiming that he doesn’t know if McGregor is in rehab. Sonnen also said that if ‘Mystic Mac’ is indeed in rehab, he would be very proud. Sonnen then said that two weeks before the fight, McGregor was in his pub having a drink.

I do not know that Conor is in rehab, for one. For two, I wouldn’t begrudge or tease Conor in the least if he was in rehab, I would be very proud of Conor, and I would imagine for somebody in his spot, to go into rehab is something you want to keep quiet... I think it was alcohol (in his drink), he didn’t want a mistake to be made, he partied it up and made some bad decisions.

McGregor is the biggest name in MMA, so everything he does makes headlines. After a three-year hiatus, his comeback fight kept fans on their toes. However, it looks like they might have to wait a little longer before seeing McGregor in the octagon. While some fight fans are skeptical, others remain optimistic about the situation.
