Conor McGregor reveals ’10X Money’ as reason why Michael Chandler avoided other fights for two years

Conor McGregor has revealed why Michael Chandler waited so long to fight him. Yes, of course it’s all about ‘save pa*ty night’, but how much is it worth to Chandler that he has to wait two years for a fight?

The pair filmed The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 31 last year and agreed to a fight after filming the show, just like the ritual.

However, the Irishman was unable to fight last year due to the filming and release of Jake Gyllenhaal’s Road House, in which McGregor played the crazy villain Knox. And so Chandler waited.

The pair were scheduled to fight during International Fight Week at UFC 303 this year, but an injury to Conor to the same leg as the titanium shin has postponed that fight indefinitely. So fans and pundits started asking Chandler to move on and take on other fights.

It turns out that “save pa*ty night” isn’t worth just 2-3 of Michael Chandler’s regular gigs. In a recent tweet on X, Conor McGregor finally revealed that the American is in line to be paid ten times what he normally gets for a fight.

“Chandler gets paid 10x what is in his contract for other fights. This means he would have to fight 10 battles to make what he would make in this one. I am the One.”

Michael Chandler is relatively new to the UFC, but in the short time he has been in the UFC, he has developed a reputation as a crazy dog who prefers to participate in mega strikefests and make the fight entertaining instead of winning it. And he’s had some absolute bangers there.

One thing he hasn’t had, however, is a big payday after fight night. According to Conor McGregor, it’s a ten times signing fee that has Chandler chasing McGregor’s taillights.

That said, Conor McGregor was not only online to take a shot at Chandler, he also revealed some details about his injury.

Conor McGregor gives fans an update on his injury and justifies his withdrawal from UFC 303

In a recent Instagram post, ‘The Notorious’ said he couldn’t just take another walk to the octagon when he wasn’t 100%. He had already done that against Dustin Poirier and had his leg broken in half to show for it.

“I couldn’t justify it to my team, or the fans, for being hindered from taking the walk again. That walk has been seen. This next walk must and will be 100% Conor McGregor. The fans deserve it”

Hopefully Conor heals quickly enough and the Chandler fight happens by the end of the year. But that’s just what the fans want.
