Conor McGregor found liable in Dublin sexual assault case

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor was found liable for sexual assault in a civil case in Dublin on Friday. The High Court awarded €248,603.60 to Nikita Hand, who claimed McGregor attacked her in a hotel in December 2018. The jury acquitted another suspect, James Lawrence, of involvement.

Hand testified that he was violently attacked by McGregor and described extensive bruising and severe trauma. Medical evidence supported her story, with experts documenting injuries consistent with her claims. McGregor denied the allegations and claimed their meeting was consensual. After the verdict, McGregor announced plans to appeal.

While the ruling does not carry any criminal penalties, it underlines the ongoing legal challenges for McGregor, who has not fought in the UFC since 2021. UFC has not commented on the outcome of the case.
