Commanders vice president SUSPENDED after calling his own team’s black players ‘homophobic’, NFL stars ‘dumb as hell’ and fans ‘alcoholics’ in incriminating video secretly recorded on a date

The Washington Commanders organization has suspended a staff member after he was caught making controversial and derogatory comments about the NFL, its players and its fans.

Rael Enteen, the franchise’s Vice President of Content in Washington, DC, was secretly filmed on a date with an undercover reporter, making shocking claims about the team’s players and fans.

Enteen, who worked for the Commanders for four years, was caught labelling the team’s black players as “homophobic”.

He told the O’Keefe Media reporter: “A large portion (of the Commanders roster) are very low-income African-Americans who come from a community that is inherently very homophobic.”

“I love hip-hop, hip-hop is very homophobic,” he added. “It’s a cultural thing and I hope it gets better.”

“The language used in the video is diametrically opposed to our values within the Commanders organization,” a Commanders spokesperson said in a statement to DailyMail.com.

“We have suspended the employee pending an internal investigation and will have no further comment at this time.”

Enteen accused the players of homophobia not only from the black community within the team. He also claimed that 50 percent of the players are white and religious, implying that they are homophobic as well, in line with anti-LGBTQIA+ Christian teachings.

Enteen not only claimed that players were homophobic, but he also called many players in the league “dumb,” suggesting that the physical impact of the game actually leads to a decline in their intelligence.

“There’s definitely a spectrum. There are those who are incredibly stupid and there are those who are very smart,” he said during what appeared to be a second date.

“I think there’s also a sad but true reality: some people start out smart, but they get hit so hard that they don’t stay smart.”

His attacks didn’t stop with the players. Enteen also took aim at the Commanders fan base and fans across the NFL, calling them “mouth breathers.”

“I think most NFL fans are high school alcoholics,” he told the anonymous reporter.

He continued to describe football fans as “violent” because of the frequent brawls in the stands during matches.

Enteen went on to criticize the NFL’s social justice initiatives, such as the league’s commitment to “Black Lives Matter, Pride, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion,” as “performative” designed to generate good publicity.

“The goal is to make as much money as possible,” he claimed.

Not only did he criticize the league’s initiatives, Enteen also called NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell a “$50 million puppet.”

He suggested that Goodell is controlled by the NFL owners and accused Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones of pulling the strings.

He also alleged that Jones harbors racist and homophobic prejudices. “I think he hates gays and black people,” he said.

Enteen joined the Commanders in 2020 as Senior Director of Content Strategy, before being promoted to Vice President of Content in April 2022.

He previously worked for the New York Jets for two years, between 2016 and 2018, as Director of Digital and Social Media.

The controversy arose just over a year after Josh Harris took over the franchise following Dan Snyder’s tumultuous and scandalous tenure.

Snyder sold the franchise last year in July 2023 for a reported $6 billion, after years of controversy.

The loyal Redskins fan spent $800 million on the club in 1999, but failed to build a successful culture in Washington due to conflicts with executives, minority groups, local government officials, the NFL, the media and, most of all, disgruntled fans.

While the Redskins were a consistent contender through the 60s, 70s, 80s and early 90s, Snyder’s unpredictable decisions led to instability and massive turnover.

The team had 27 starting quarterbacks during the Snyder era, as well as 10 head coaches and a .427 winning percentage.

During Snyder’s tenure, the team was criticized for its now-defunct nickname, the Redskins, which was considered offensive by Native Americans.

Snyder resisted the name change for years, but Washington eventually dropped the “Redskins” name in 2020 after a wave of criticism stemming from the George Floyd protests.

That change — first to the temporary name “Washington Football Team” and later to “Commanders” — also angered many fans and conservatives.

But for Snyder, the troubles didn’t end there.

According to the 2020 Washington Post report, which first broke the allegations, the sexual harassment allegations against team employees ranged from inappropriate comments to the making of an offensive behind-the-scenes video of a cheerleading calendar shoot in 2008.

Snyder is also accused of asking a cheerleader to go to a hotel room with his friend so they could “get to know each other better,” and of inappropriately touching a female employee during a team dinner, both charges he has denied.

The NFL has since launched a second investigation into sexual harassment within the team to verify subsequent allegations of misconduct, such as former team employee Tiffani Johnston’s claim that Snyder grabbed her thigh during a team dinner and pressured her into getting into a limo.

Snyder has denied this claim.
