Colorado Mesa University Golfer Wins Annual Triple Play Women’s Golf Tournament | Community

Brittlynn O’Dell, a senior at Colorado Mesa University, won the annual Western Slope Triple Play women’s golf tournament with a score of 224 over three days.

The 54-hole tournament took place on Friday at Redlands Mesa Golf Course and Saturday and Sunday at Tiara Rado Golf Course.

O’Dell started strong with a 73 at Redlands Mesa on Friday. She followed that round with a 75 and 76 in the two rounds at Tiara Rado for a total score of 10 strokes over par.

O’Dell had a dozen birdies and 24 pars during the three-day tournament, with just 14 bogies and four double bodies, good enough to claim victory in the tournament’s first flight.

Hannah Cupples finished second in the tournament with a three-day score of 236, which was 22 over par. McKenzie Dolph was third with a 245, Haejeong Son was fourth with a 246 and Gracie DeJulio was fifth with a 249.

The second flight winner Insook Bhushan finished with a score of 258 over the three days. Jessica L. Smith won the third flight with a score of 268, Carolina Balint won the fourth flight with a score of 271 and Nattigan Wortmann took first place in the fifth flight with a score of 284.

Proceeds from the Western Slope Triple Play benefit Latimer House. Latimer House is a Hilltop program that provides services to individuals and families in western Colorado who are experiencing domestic violence, including intimate partner violence and sexual abuse.
