Cold front causes storms on Thursday afternoon and evening

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Thursday is a 6 First Alert Weather Day as a cold front moves in to push in the warm, humid air we’ll be in all day. Highs will reach the low 90s this afternoon with dew points high enough on the moisture gauge to send our heat index into the high 90s.

A localized storm is possible from 13:00, before the cold front moves in. These will not be widespread, but could also have some hail and wind. The more organized line of storms along the front is likely after 18:00, diving from the northwest.
