Cobra Kai fans ‘working’ on Kenny’s comeback after discovering a key clue from Kreese

Cobra Kai fans may have to wait a little longer for Netflix to release the second half of season six, but they’ve been busy coming up with theories in the meantime.

The latest theory among fans is that some people believe they have “heard” that Kenny Payne (Dallas Dupree Young) will be returning to Cobra Kai.

This comes after the series’ antagonist, John Kreese (Martin Kove), appears to convince Tory Nichols (Peyton List) to rejoin Cobra Kai.

The story takes place after Tory’s mother dies from a long illness and in heartbreaking scenes she decides to put her energy into karate and the emerging Sekai Tekai.

However, when a match with Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser) is canceled, Tory surprises her teammates by returning to Kreese.

Sam takes over as captain of the women’s team after Tory’s dramatic departure, leaving fans wondering what happens next.

A fan shared a theory on Reddit that Kenny might also make a comeback in Cobra Kai, alongside Tory.

Top_Weight898 wrote: “Something that just pops into my head. What if Kenny comes back to Cobra Kai?

“Kenny left thinking Anthony had put laxatives in his drink (which he hadn’t). And he never came back.

“Also for Cobra Kai you only saw 4 fighters in the last scene (Tory and 3 Korean fighters), what if Kenny also joins Cobra Kai again? That could be possible, since Kreese was in America to convince Tory.

“He could have convinced Kenny too. Well, we’ll see, but that could be a possibility. It would be very stupid, I think.” (sic)

While other fans shared their thoughts on the character, one wrote: “I wasn’t a Kenny fan for the past 2 seasons, but I feel like I was after the 4th episode when they brought him back (to a supposedly better dojo, meaning you can’t break the rules and do the right thing), only to throw him out for a laxative. That’s really mind-boggling.

“I saw the Tory switch happening from miles away too, but it just hurts to actually see it happen. I firmly believe Tory is a better character than Sam, not like in the show, I mean I usually can’t judge the character when her anger is under control.” (sic)

Looking back at the episodes of season 6 so far, another added: “The season was fine. Kenny should have been in the 6th instead of Dimitri. Devon shouldn’t have been in it either. Tori’s heel turn was too obvious.” (sic)

Will Kenny make a dramatic return to Cobra Kai in the next installment of the Netflix series? We’ll just have to wait and see.

The first five episodes of Cobra Kai season 6 will be streaming exclusively on Netflix. Part two will air on November 15, 2024.
