Club chairman hints at possible Liverpool & Manchester United transfer wave with “difficult” admission

Bayern Munich are facing potential problems in contract negotiations with star player Jamal Musiala amid transfer rumours linking him to some of Europe’s top clubs, including Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United.

The Germany international’s contract with Bayern expires in 2026, but it is understandable that they want to keep him for as long as possible as he has been such a key player for them of late.

Sources have recently reported CaughtOffside of growing interest from Liverpool, with the Daily Mirror noting that Man Utd are among the clubs courting Musiala, so it’s not too much of a stretch to imagine there will be a major transfer battle for his signature if he doesn’t commit his future to Bayern soon.

While there is still plenty of time for change, there may be some good news for clubs like Liverpool and United. Bayern director Max Eberl admitted that this could be a “tough” deal for his club.

Speaking to Sport1, he said: “It is difficult, but not impossible – because Jamal knows what he has at Bayern Munich.

“He grew up here and brought himself to this level. The talks are intensifying. We are extremely ambitious and he knows he wants to win titles.”

Musiala would do well to earn his stripes outside the Bundesliga as he may feel he has something to prove, particularly in English football.

The 21-year-old began his career at Chelsea before making the decision to prove himself at Bayern, but it’s not hard to see why he’d want to return to a club like Liverpool or United to show what he can do in the Premier League.

Even though Bayern are a big name in European football, there is no doubt that the Premier League is often seen as the place to be for the best players in the world because it is such a competitive and entertaining league.
