Clever, Mo. police chief accused of domestic violence

CLEVER, Mo. (KY3) – The city’s police chief, Clever, has been charged this week in connection with a domestic incident.

According to court records, 49-year-old Michael Evans has been charged with second-degree domestic violence.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office says officers responded to the 3700 block of W. Wilderness Street on November 7 around 10 p.m. for a disturbance.

The City of Clever Police Department clerk confirmed with KY3 that Evans is the police chief. Evans is in the Greene County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
