Two-time all-state performer Meg Berkland has found her future volleyball home.

One of the centers of the most successful run in the history of the Clear Creek Amana program. Berkland will continue her career at Purdue Fort Wayne and sign with the Mastodons earlier this month.

As a four-year starter, Berkland helped Clear Creek Amana to a 132-30 record during her career, a stretch that included three consecutive WAMAC West Division titles and the first consecutive state tournament appearances in program history.

Berkland, a 6-foot-4 defensive specialist, was ranked among the top 10 in the state and earned Class 4A all-state honors from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association in each of her last two prep seasons.

As a senior, Berkland earned unanimous all-WAMAC West Division honors after a 10th-place finish last falle in the state and first in 4A with 531 digs.

Berkland also had a career-high 46 ace as a senior and helped Clear Creek Amana to a 46-1 record and a spot in the 4A semifinals.

During her four-year career, Berkland collected 1,778 digs and 169 bait serves.
