Clark and Reese far ahead

Anyone who thought the fierce rivalry between former Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark and former LSU Tigers and college women’s basketball national champion Angel Reese would die down once they reached the WNBA was mistaken.

The feud between the two has only escalated on the professional level, and with both athletes playing alongside each other on the WNBA All-Star Team this weekend, we could see a new phase in their rivalry. Of course, even if Clark and Reese were to patch up their feud as part of the same All-Star team, the two would likely be going head-to-head soon after with how tight the race for the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award has been. Clark was the heavy favorite early on, but since Reese has proven herself to be a double-double machine, Clark no longer leads her team in points per game.

Reese has overtaken the Rookie of the Year race in the eyes of some. While not everyone agrees on who deserves the award, everyone knows the race is far from over. Here are the odds as of July 15. All odds via BetMGM.
