Child on bicycle seriously injured after collision with Skoda Superb on King’s Lynn’s Shiregreen near junction with Winston Churchill Drive

A child who was seriously injured in a collision with a car while he was cycling last week remains in hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision at Shiregreen, near the junction with Winston Churchill Drive on the Fairstead estate, at 5.13pm on Friday.

According to officers, a gray Skoda Superb collided with a blue bicycle.

The road was closed while emergency services, including paramedics, attended the scene. The road was reopened at 9:30 p.m.

The cyclist, a child, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Lynn with serious injuries.

They have now been transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and are in a stable condition.

The officers would like to get in touch with people who witnessed the collision or who have relevant dashcam footage.
