Chelsea outsider open to Man United transfer after being told to leave club

Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move away from the club.

After new manager Enzo Maresca informed Sterling that he is no longer part of his future plans, the England winger is considering his options.

He has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and most recently Manchester United.

According to The Telegraph, the Blues are interested in a swap deal between Jadon Sancho and Sterling.

Chelsea winger Sterling is open to a move to Manchester United, according to the Independent.

There is no indication yet from the Red Devils whether they are interested in a transfer for the former Manchester City player.

Sterling wants to talk to Chelsea first about his contractual situation, the report said.

His contract at Chelsea still has three years to run, which equates to £300,000-a-week.

If he were to leave Chelsea, he would miss out on a large amount of money as the team signing him cannot match that amount.

Chelsea striker Raheem Sterling to Man United?

It is a huge blow to his career, which has not progressed since he left Pep Guardiola for Stamford Bridge.

Maresca’s arrival at Stamford Bridge has completely transformed Sterling’s career, with the Blues now boasting a number of wingers.

Raheem Sterling has no future at Chelsea

The arrival of Pedro Neto has seen Sterling drop down the club’s rankings.

Noni Madueke’s current form and the presence of other wingers means Sterling is far removed from the club’s starting line-up.

To revive his career, he needs to leave the Blues. With his experience and winning mentality, he could be valuable to a number of Premier League teams.

Sterling has just three days left to sort out his future as the transfer window closes on August 30.
