Chelsea lowers asking price for Belgian attacker

Chelsea have had an eventful summer this year with the departure of Mauricio Pochettino and the arrival of Enzo Maresca as new manager.

The Blues have again been active in the transfer period to bring new players to the club.

A huge amount of money has been spent and it is expected that more players will join the club, while more players will also leave.

The Premier League giants are keen to get rid of the likes of Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja, Romelu Lukaku and a few others.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, they are so keen to get rid of Lukaku that they will even settle for an amount lower than their estimated value for the player.

The Belgian striker has been away from the club for a while, including on loan to Internazionale and AS Roma, but the Blues now want a permanent solution.

Lukaku has been linked with a move to Italian giants Napoli this summer, with Victor Osimhen set to join Stamford Bridge in a potential player-plus-cash swap.

Romelu Lukaku will be sold by Chelsea.

Chelsea had to pay almost £100million to sign Lukaku, but they are asking for €40million (£36.7million) to sell the player who has no future at the club.

The report reveals that residents of West London are now prepared to accept even less for the attacker, showing how desperate they are to get rid of him.

Romelu Lukaku to leave Chelsea this summer

The player was forced to train alone, away from the first team, as his future was discussed.

Chelsea’s need to sign a new striker and Napoli’s interest in Lukaku could work to the advantage of all parties.

Signing Osimhen would be a huge improvement on Lukaku as the Blues would get one of the best players in the world in his position.

Lukaku’s move to Stamford Bridge has failed miserably, but the only positive that can come out of it is that he can help Napoli forward Osimhen.
