Champions League: New format for 2024-25 season explained

BBC Sport’s Sam Harris explains the new Champions League format for the 2024-25 season, which will include “more teams, more matches and one table”.

For the next three years, highlights of every match will be available on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app from 22:00 (BST) on the Wednesday of Champions League match weeks, with a highlights broadcast on BBC One at 22:40.

There will also be clips online and on social media, as well as live text commentary for all rounds on the BBC Sport website.
