Celebrate New Orleans in Oklahoma

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma is bringing back the patriotic celebration this weekend with the New Orleans Square Block Party.

Beginning Thursday, June 27, visitors can enjoy live music, food trucks, and a fireworks show both Friday and Saturday nights. The three-day festival will take place at the newly renovated New Orleans Square in Broken Arrow.

Visitors can expect a variety of live music; country and red dirt music from bands like Outlaw 51, rock from the Voice of Rock Radio and even some funk for the finale from St Paul and the Minneapolis Allstars.

According to Farhad Daroga Special Projects Manager, “New Orleans and Elm were once the heart of the city.” After watching the buildings, with years of Broken Arrow history, fall apart and the loss of income over the years, citizens and stakeholders believed there could be more for the city if the right things were done.

And so, after a renovation of the sidewalks, landscaping, water pipes, signals and more, the city has come back to life. After hosting the first New Orleans Square Block Party in 2020, Broken Arrow has continued to grow and gain traction each year with the patriotic celebration.

If you plan to attend the party, please note that you must bring your own chair and pets must be left at home. Bring the kids, because there is a children’s zone especially for the young ones. This weekend, celebrate America and Broken Arrow together this year.

Oklahoma’s Best 4th of July Celebrations

There’s nothing like celebrating American independence at home, and Oklahoma is practically overflowing with patriotism across the state. Although most cities have their own celebrations, some are bigger than others. Since it would be difficult to catch them all in one day, they are spread out over just over two and a half weeks. Choose one or more and let your American flag fly.
