Carlos Ohene named in Bulgarian League Team of the Week

Ghanaian midfielder Carlos Ohene has been recognised for his exceptional performances in the Bulgarian First Professional League, securing a place in Sofascore’s team of the week.

Ohene’s notable contribution included a goal in Levski Sofia’s convincing 6-1 victory over PFC Lokomotiv Sofia 1929.

The hosts started strongly, with Ante Aralitsa putting them ahead in the 5th minute, but Levski responded quickly, with Maicon equalising for Alex Kolev in the 12th minute.

Aldair then put Levski ahead with a fine individual goal in the 21st minute, and Ohene played a crucial role in the team’s third goal just before half-time, launching a swift counter-attack and passing to Jawad El Jemili, who scored with a left-footed shot.

El Jemili scored his second goal just two minutes later, giving Levski a commanding 4-1 lead at half-time.

Levski continued to dominate in the second half, with Ohene scoring the team’s fifth goal in injury time, with Sangare then adding a sixth goal in the 97th minute to complete the rout.

The match was briefly interrupted in the 76th minute due to a lighting problem at the Lokomotiv Stadium, but the teams quickly resumed play with Levski emerging as winners.

Levski Sofia will play their next league match against Botev Vratsa.
