Broad and Allentown crash Wednesday still under investigation, one injured

A single-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday at Broad Street and Allentown Road in Upper Gwynedd remains under investigation, police said this weekend.

Police said details about how the crash occurred and the possibility of charges being filed were still being investigated as of Sunday.

At 3:08 p.m. Wednesday, police said a witness called 911 about a silver Lexus sedan crashing into the traffic pole at the intersection.

Two occupants — and adult men and women — were in the car, police said, and at least one was taken to Lansdale Hospital via VMSC EMS for facial injuries.

South Broad Street was closed southbound with the assistance of firefighters.

The scene was cleared at 4:11 p.m., police said.

Upper Gwynedd Police were assisted at the scene by Lansdale Police and Upper Gwynedd Fire Department.

Police did collect witness statements and surveillance videos, authorities said.
