British hobbies, Italian courtroom drama and AI in sports

The UK is showcasing its hobbies, from My Little Pony collections to quilts, in an exhibition called ‘Come As You Really Are’. This major exhibition, led by artist Hetain Patel, brings together more than 14,000 objects made by British hobbyists.

In Italy, a Milan court has ordered journalist Giulia Cortese to pay 5,000 euros in damages to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for a tweet in which she ridiculed her height. The court defined the tweet as “body shaming” and also gave Cortese a suspended fine of 1,200 euros.

Meanwhile, the Marshall Islands are set to broadcast their first-ever futsal match against Micronesia using AI-powered cameras. The match, which takes place as part of the Outrigger Challenge Cup, marks a major technological milestone in sports broadcasting.
