Breaking: Michigan lands a key offensive weapon in the class of 2025, beating out Ohio State for the star

Michigan is having a very nice end to June, and on Sunday afternoon On3.com’s Steve Wilfong made a prediction that the team would land four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh and tight end Andrew Olseh in the class of 2025, but that was It’s not even the biggest news of the day for the Wolverines, as they landed one of the top running backs in the class of 2025.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3.com, four-star running back Donovan Johnson committed to Michigan over Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee and Ohio State.

According to 247sports.com, Johnson is the 30th ranked running back in the class of 2025.

Michigan brought in a new running backs coach from Ohio State, Tony Alford, in March, and he struggled to land running backs in his first few months with the program. He missed Marquise Davis, who chose Kentucky over the Wolverines, and Bo Jackson, who chose Ohio State. Now Michigan lands a running back state that Ohio was in the running for. Still, the Buckeyes probably won’t be too upset about it, as they’ve already landed two of the top 15 running backs in the class of 2025 and are expected to land another.

The Wolverines love to run the football, and they will do a lot of that with Johnson in the coming years and hope they bring in a few more running backs to compete with Johnson.
