Braylon Mullins and Tonde Yessoufou to visit Kentucky Basketball

The Kentucky Wildcats will receive an official visit from class of 2025 recruits Tounde Yessoufou and Braylon Mullins.

According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Yessoufou, the No. 21 prospect in the 2025 class by the 247 Sports Composite, will visit Kentucky in August. The visit will take place on August 1 or 2 as both parties work out the final plan for the visit.

Yessoufou is a 6-foot-5, 211-pound small forward from Santa Maria (CA). His highest ranking is No. 13 overall by On3.

At this time, Kentucky has not tendered Yessoufou, but that could change once he comes to Lexington for his official visit.

Yessoufou, who hails from the West African country of Benin, has always seen Kentucky as a school he could play for, he told KSR in May.

“That was my dream school when I came to the United States. I definitely wanted an offer from Coach Cal, but he’s obviously gone,” Yessoufou told KSR’s Jack Pilgrim. “I’ve heard about Coach Pope and he definitely has great energy. Just by FaceTiming him, you can tell he has great energy. I love being around coaches like that. Kentucky is a great program — for To me it’s definitely one of the top 10 in the country. With his history — you know, he used to play there — so he brings a lot.”

When John Calipari was at Kentucky, they showed no interest in Yessoufou. But since Pope and his staff took over, they’ve been making up ground.

“Arizona is a school that has momentum with Yessoufou as they built a relationship early on, and he officially visited Tommy Lloyd and Co. earlier this month,” On3’s Tipton said. “USC’s new staff has also made him a priority since his arrival in LA. In conversations with sources, Kentucky is quickly making up ground.”

As for Mullins, he’s a 6-foot-1, 180-pound shooting guard from Greenfield, IN. He’s ranked No. 75 nationally according to the 247 Sports Composite, which measures all major recruiting rankings. His highest ranking is No. 24 overall with 247 Sports.

Braylon Mullins’ father, Josh Mullins, told A Sea of Blue that he will be taking an official visit to Kentucky from October 25-27. Mullins recently received an offer from Kentucky after a recent visit to Lexington earlier this week.

Josh also added that the hope is to reduce Braylon’s list to five to eight schools in August and, after the visits are completed, reduce the list to three or four schools.

Here is a full list of his schools that he will officially be attending from now on:

  • UConn (August 1-2)

  • Michigan (September 7)
  • UNC (September 14-15)
  • Indiana (September 21)
  • Tennessee (October 19)
  • Kentucky (October 25-27)

Kentucky seems very interested in Mullins, having previously visited and received an offer. With another visit coming up in October, it feels like Mullins is a top priority for Mark Pope and Co.
