Brad comforts Lucas after Sam’s shocking death

General Hospital spoilers tease that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) has just reconnected with his sister Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and now has to say goodbye to her forever.

Lucas just returned to Port Charles a few weeks ago and is still reacquainting himself with his friends and family after being in Boston for the past few years.

He never expected that Sam would be a donor match for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havans) and that Sam would insist that Lucas do her part of the operation himself.

General Hospital Spoilers – Lucas Jones broke hospital protocol

Although it was against General Hospital rules, Sam signed a waiver allowing Lucas to perform the surgery to remove part of her liver, which would then be given to Lulu. Sam’s part of the surgery seemed to go pretty well, and she woke up recovering feeling pretty good.

Not long after, Sam suddenly had a heart attack out of nowhere and not even Lucas, Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) could save her. Lucas was forced to call the time of his own sister’s death.

GH Spoilers – Lucas Jones Will Blame Himself

Although it appears there is foul play, Lucas does not know that at this time. Since he was the one who operated on Sam, he will definitely blame himself.

He’ll probably regret agreeing to operate on his own sister, no matter what she wanted.

It’s easy to imagine Lucas going over every moment of the operation to see if he can find anything he did wrong that caused Sam’s death.

General Hospital Spoilers – Brad Cooper May Be Lucas Jones’ Only Hope

The only person Lucas can reach is his former husband, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen). Even though their marriage ended badly and Brad went to prison, there is clearly still a connection between the two of them.

Brad can be pushy at times, but maybe that’s just what Lucas needs. He will need to express his guilt and anger and Brad may be the only one who can get these emotions out of him. Lucas needs to get back together soon, and not just because of Sam.

If there’s a killer on General Hospital, it could be Lucas who puts all the pieces together. He’s already suspicious about Lulu’s ventilator malfunctioning. Sam’s death could be a kind of second strike.
