Bournemouth are optimistic of reaching an agreement with Chelsea over the loan of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, following positive talks over the weekend.

Kepa, 29, is expected to sign a contract extension with Chelsea on reduced terms before leaving on loan.

The goalkeeper, who played for LaLiga champions Real Madrid last season, has attracted the interest of several clubs this summer, including Saudi clubs.

Chelsea are planning to sell him, but with his contract expiring at the end of the current season, he will need to sign an extension before he can leave.

Andoni Iraola’s Cherries are looking to strengthen between the posts, with Kepa providing competition for club captain and current No.1 Neto.
