Booker T is eager to welcome AEW star linked to CM Punk and Cody Rhodes to WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently put a spotlight on Ricky Starks as someone who could be great in WWE and eventually join the likes of Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. Particularly after his appearance at WrestleMania 40, rumors about Starks’ career path escalated when he disappeared from AEW programming following a tag team encounter on the March 30th edition of “AEW Collision.”

According to his podcast called “The Hall of Fame”, Booker T. suggested that Starks was perfect for WWE with the likely conclusion that someone, like Ethan Page before him, could rise from “WWE NXT” to the main roster (WWE).

“Ricky Starks is one of those guys that has ties; he was at one of the shows with CM Punk back, I think, late last year. He’s tight with Cody… I think he’s a perfect fit; I mean, I really do. I think he’s got the look, he’s got the swagger, and his name’s been out there before, so that says a lot about Ricky Starks.

The guy believes in himself; that’s one thing, almost like Ethan Page and Ricky Starks. This kid has something. Ethan Page, he’s paid off in NXT so far, and I’d love to see someone like Ricky Starks,” Booker enthused.

Starks’ WWE Prospects

However, during his time outside of AEW’s attention span, it didn’t get any easier to see where Ricky Starks would find himself next. And so, by being associated with big names like CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, and by witnessing himself at major WWE events, people might think that this is another opportunity waiting for him.

Booker T also discussed whether Ricky will be “rocked” by wrestling legend The Rock, while acknowledging the latter’s mic skills. The gentleman is definitely not comparable to The Rock, but he sure knows how to cut a promo, according to Booker, who praised the former FTW Champion for his charisma and oratorical skills.
