Bojan Miovski: Aberdeen striker in transfer talks with La Liga club Girona

Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski is in talks with Girona as he moves closer to leaving Pittodrie.

The 25-year-old, who started in Monday’s Scottish Premiership season opener against St Johnstone, could command a fee higher than any other outfield player in Scottish football, excluding Celtic and Rangers.

Although talks are ongoing, Girona still have a lot of work to do to get a deal done, nothing has been confirmed yet.

However, it appears the striker’s successful two-year spell at Aberdeen is coming to an end, with the La Liga club also eyeing Champions League football after finishing third last season.

Miovski scored 44 goals in 96 games for Dons and played 22 international matches for North Macedonia, scoring three times.

Meanwhile, the Dons hope to further expand their squad in the coming days, following the arrival of Croatian midfielder Ante Palaversa on Thursday.
