Body discovered in burning vehicle leads to death investigation in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD. – A death investigation is underway in Northwest Baltimore after a body was found inside a burning vehicle on Bonnie View Drive. Police and firefighters responded to the 5900 block Saturday evening after reports of an active vehicle fire.

After firefighters extinguished the flames, they found a deceased person in the vehicle. The remains, still unidentified, were transported to the medical examiner’s office, where investigators will work to confirm the victim’s identity and determine the cause of death.

Baltimore Crash Team detectives are leading the investigation and investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact authorities.
