Black Ops 6 beta returns tomorrow with 2 new maps and a new mode, but not the one everyone wants

The short break for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 The beta ends tomorrow afternoon and will return with new content and much needed improvements.

Activision has revealed what players can expect in BO6 when the beta resumes and is available to players on all platforms, including two new maps, a number of new game modes, and some quality of life improvements such as spawn improvements.

But one mode that players have been clamoring for, Search and Destroy, isn’t on the list of what’s coming this weekend. SnD is by far the most requested mode on social media posts, and is a popular option as a one-life mode compared to anything that offers respawns.

The new mode coming in weekend two is Gunfight, the two-vs-two round-based mode, along with Face Off Kill Order, a mash-up of the two modes previously released in weekend one. One new map, Stakeout, will be available in the fast-paced Face Off.

The other new map, a six-vs-six map, is called Babylon. It’s another small map, which has been an easy-to-recognize pattern so far when it comes to BO6 multiplayer offerings. Each of the maps shown so far has been small or medium sized.

“Fight through the ruins of an ancient city, clamber up crumbling columns and crawl beneath the palace,” Activision said. “There’s plenty of verticality to take advantage of here, so stay agile as you circle the central altar and seek out the best ground. Head back to the chapel or depot for more hidden views, or get excited and rush toward the center.”

Weekend two also features new unlockable items, all of which can be kept in the full game when it launches on October 25. Each item can be obtained by simply leveling up to the maximum level, level 30, before the beta ends on September 9.
