Black Myth: Wukong Global Release Times Confirmed

Black Myth: Wukong developer Game Science has confirmed the global release date for the highly anticipated action game and revealed when it will be available worldwide.

The release date is scheduled for 10am UTC+8 on August 20, which means Black Myth: Wukong will actually go live at 7pm Pacific Time on August 19 and 3am UK time on August 20.

Inspired by the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, Black Myth: Wukong is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC this week, with Xbox Series X and S versions coming later (read why here).

IGN’s Black Myth: Wukong review gave it an 8/10. We said, “Despite some frustrating technical issues, Black Myth: Wukong is a great action game with fantastic combat, exciting bosses, tantalizing secrets, and a beautiful world.”

Today, IGN verified an email sent by the Black Myth: Wukong marketing team that told content creators who received a Steam key that they could not use “feminist propaganda” or use so-called “trigger words” like COVID-19 in their messaging.

Game Science has not yet responded to IGN’s previous report a collection of numerous sexist comments made by the studio’s founders and other developers over the past decade.
