Biden is sabotaging Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign after being forced to drop reelection bid, experts say

And Tu, Biden?

President Biden is so bitter about being forced to drop his re-election bid by top members of his own party that he is deliberately sabotaging Kamala Harris’ campaign, according to a growing chorus of political experts.

Since being dropped from the race in July over fears of declining cognitive skills, Biden has done little for Harris other than her support, and has largely been a no-show at his vice president’s campaign events.

He has also repeatedly drawn the attention of his intended successor, including last week’s own comments on how the White House is responding to Hurricane Helene — even after Harris canceled a campaign event in Las Vegas and rushed back to D.C. to be informed about the consequences of Hurricane Helene. the impact of the storm.

The lame-duck leader also has a plethora of cringe-worthy actions to his name that have left Donald Trump-loving conservatives salivating. They included wearing a “Trump 2024” hat at an anniversary event marking September 11 last month, and praising Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis on Tuesday for how he has prepared the Sunshine State for the Hurricane Milton — a day after Harris complained that DeSantis didn’t. take her call.

Meanwhile, there has been increasing tension in recent months between Biden’s and Harris’ advisers over her dueling interest in remaining loyal to the unpopular president while promoting herself on the campaign trail as an agent of change, according to multiple reports.

“Biden is deliberately taking revenge on Kamala for stabbing him in the back,” claimed Jason Meister, a Republican political strategist who sits on the advisory board for Trump’s campaign.

‘He never liked her. The happiest he has looked in four years was when he put on a red (Trump 2024) hat after talking to Shanksville, (Pa.) firefighters (last month) on September 11th. He should just come out and support Trump.”

Hank Sheinkopf, a New York-based Democratic strategist, called Biden’s refusal to embrace Harris’ campaign a possible “power move” to “make sure people understand who is still in charge.”

“It would be absolutely ridiculous to assume that he doesn’t hold grudges about the way he was treated or how, quite frankly, he was forced out in what some would describe as a coup,” the veteran campaign adviser said.

“Why hasn’t he shown up in places where he could do some good, like parts of Pennsylvania and states the president has supported during his term? No one wants to give up the presidency of the United States – it’s the one job you don’t want to leave.”

Speaking at Trump’s campaign rally in Scranton, Pennsylvania, former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also took a swipe at Biden’s loyalty on Wednesday.

“Somewhere deep down, in a place that he doesn’t want to admit, I think Joe Biden might be pushing for it,” Ramaswamy said, referring to Trump possibly winning the support of Biden’s hometown and the rest of the Keystone State. .

On Thursday, Ramaswamy doubled down on his comments, telling The Post: “I think it’s clear that Joe is still bruised by what happened.”

“I don’t think he would have won (a second term), but in his view, and that of his family, they probably think they were robbed of it,” he added.

Trump campaign spokesperson Caroline Sunshine said: “Harris doesn’t need help sabotaging her campaign because she does it herself every time she speaks without a teleprompter, (but) it’s important to remember that there is absolutely no daylight between President Biden and Kamala Harris on policy. ”

“Kamala Harris herself has said she wouldn’t do anything differently for the past four years, and our campaign will remind voters of this fact every day between now and November 5,” Sunshine said.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates said critics “seem to have missed” that Biden “made clear he was all in for ‘Harris’ out of the gate when he left the campaign, and has consistently fought for her and strengthened her leadership in the country has praised. .

“He strongly believes in an agenda that will move us into the future, away from the rampant divisions and extreme policies the country can no longer afford, such as MAGAnomics and a national abortion ban,” the spokesperson said.

Another source from the Biden camp insisted that the president was unaware that DeSantis refused to take Harris’ call about Hurricane Milton when he called the Florida governor “gracious” and praised him for the state’s response to the hurricane .
