Berrettini beats Kotov 2-0 on 4/5

Matteo Berrettini is back in full form. The Italian won his ninth title last weekend and reached the top 50 in the world.

Often the first match after a title is a dangerous zone, with players still tired from their deep run the week before. Berrettini, however, is the type of player who is hot and does not struggle to come back. Of his eight previous titles, he has only once lost in the first round of the following tournament. On several occasions he has even made significant runs in consecutive weeks.

We are not at all worried about the level he will reach against Pavel Kotov in Kitzbuhel. We bet he will beat the Russian in straight sets.

Both players win a set in Van Assche vs Fognini on 13/10

However, we predict that Luca van Assche and Fabio Fognini will win the race until the end.

Fognini comes to Umag on the back of a good run of form. The Italian veteran reached the third round of Wimbledon with an impressive victory over eighth-seeded Casper Ruud. He entered the quarterfinals in Gstaad last week.

Van Assche, on the other hand, is a bit trickier. The Frenchman is only 20 years old and has played a mix of Challengers and Tour events. He recently made his way through the Wimbledon qualifiers before falling in the opening round.

Expect this to be an even clash, with everyone taking a set. Flip a coin for the outright winner, because it depends on which man shows up on the day we call.
