Bayern Munich are very excited about Manchester City’s €100m target Florian Wirtz

Bayern Munich are keen to bring Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz to the Allianz Arena next summer, but the German giants will face strong competition from Man City and Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old is one of Europe’s most exciting talents and has developed rapidly since making his debut for the Bundesliga champions in 2020.

Last season highlighted the midfielder’s importance to Leverkusen, as the youngster played a major role in Xabi Alonso’s team that won the league and cup double in Germany. Wirtz played 49 matches, scoring 18 goals and assisting another 20.

Despite a contract at the BayArena until 2027, several clubs had their eye on the Germany international during the summer transfer window, but the 21-year-old opted to stay at Leverkusen for at least another season.

Reports linked Man City, Real Madrid and Liverpool with Wirtz and it appears two of them remain interested in the midfielder before 2025.

Bayern Munich are ready to make the move for Florian Wirtz from Man City in 2025

There is a possibility that Wirtz could leave Bayer Leverkusen in 2025 and knowing this, Bayern Munich have become interested in the German midfielder.

According to Maximilian Koch, Bayern bosses are keen to bring the 21-year-old to Munich ahead of the 2025/2026 season. The German giants have always had the best talent in the country in their squad and Wirtz is no different.

The Bundesliga giants expect the youngster to cost around €100 million, not the €100 million Leverkusen are demanding.

The journalist also admits that Real Madrid are also in the mix for Wirtz, which could be a problem for Bayern Munich given the La Liga club’s status in the game and the strength of their current squad.

There is also a good chance that Man City will get involved in the race as the Bayer Leverkusen star would be the perfect replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, who is expected to leave the Premier League champions after his contract expires at the end of the season expires.
