Baltimore County girls lacrosse coaches select All-County team

The Dulaney girls lacrosse team made a repeat trip to the state championship game and for the second straight season they were defeated by Severna Park.

It was the 16th state title for the Falcons and while the Lions (13-7) didn’t win it all, they had an exciting journey to the Class 3A finals. In the quarter-finals the Lions defeated Sherwood 13-12, and in the semi-finals they edged past Marriotts Ridge 6-4 for their 10th consecutive win.

That included Baltimore County and regional titles. They finished the season ranked ninth in the Baltimore Sun Top 15 poll.

Hereford (10-3) was the only other team ranked in the Top 15. The Bulls won a regional crown but fell to Stephen Decatur in the Class 2A quarterfinals.

In Class 4A, Perry Hall fell to Broadneck in the state quarterfinals and Loch Raven lost to Perryville in the 1A quarterfinals.

The All-County first team was selected by coaches and Dulaney produced the most selections with six.
