Baku hosts farewell ceremony for Azerbaijani Olympic team (PHOTOS)

A farewell ceremony was held for some members of the Azerbaijani Olympic team that will participate in the Paris-2024 Summer Olympics, Azeri News defeated.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, media representatives, fans and relatives of athletes attended the farewell ceremony held at Heydar Aliyev International Airport

At the Olympic Games in Paris, Azerbaijan will be represented by 48 athletes, competing in 17 programs in 15 sports.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

Paris is the second city after London to host the Summer Olympics three times.

During the Games, the following sports will be practiced: football, tennis, boxing, cycling, gymnastics, volleyball, weightlifting, basketball, fencing, taekwondo, athletics, wrestling and many more. Breakdance will also make its debut as an Olympic event.
