AusBreaking has since spoken out to honour all participants and applaud the medal winners, calling for ‘peace, love and unity’.

“On the world stage, we have seen the elite physical endurance, agility, precision and creativity required to be a breaker at the highest level,” the company said Tuesday.

“Let’s focus on breaking as an Olympic sport and uphold the values of the Australian and global breaking community of peace, love and unity.”

A separate statement followed focusing on Australia’s qualification process and Gunn, as well as 16-year-old male qualifier Jeff ‘J Attack’ Dunne.
