Athletics vs Mariners at the Oakland Coliseum

After a heartbreaking loss ended a 3-3 road trip for the Oakland Athletics yesterday, the 69-68 Seattle Mariners come to town for a three-game series. Labor Day is the unofficial start of the home stretch, and while there’s little chance the A’s will make a mad dash for the playoffs, the games will have meaning.

Mark Kotsay sends 28-year-old right-hander Osvaldo Bido to the mound tonight. Bido is 5-3 with a 3.11 ERA in 56 innings this season. This afternoon marks his ninth start. He will face 27-year-old right-hander Logan Gilbert for Seattle. Gilbert is 7-10 this season with a 3.09 ERA in 27 starts.
